lovely late 17th century engraved map of this European region with expert full
hand color. Heavily detailed with place names, rivers and mountain
ranges. Large vignette cartouche at bottom left shows water people
guarding the tributaries; heightened in gold. Image sits within a simple
border with measures of latitude and longitude.
In
near fine, clean condition with splendid hand color. Original fold lines,
as issued. Sheet measures c. 14 3/4" x 9 1/2"; image area
measures c. 12" x 8."
