Lovely example of this scarce early 17th century Mercator minor map. Not to be confused with the more commonly encountered Mercator minor maps of the 1620's - 1630's. A variant issue, from a completely different engraved plate than those later ones. Latin text on reverse. With very pleasing, attractive full hand color.
Note the sailing ship and sea monster.
In near fine, clean condition. Slight wear to edges, of no significance.
