Lovely example of this scarce early 17th century Mercator minor map. Not to be confused with the more commonly encountered Mercator minor maps of the 1620's - 1630's. A variant issue, from a completely different engraved plate than those later ones. French text on reverse. With very pleasing, attractive full hand color.
From the Caspian Sea down to the Persian Gulf, including the Arabian peninsula. Armenia is at upper left, India at bottom right.
In near fine, clean condition. Slight wear to edges, of no significance.
