A fine early 18th century engraved map depicting Japan and the huge island above Japan called Jesso. Surrounding the island are 5 tall masted sailing ships. Title hangs in a banner at the top. Very appealing.

In excellent clean condition. Very attractively hand colored.

On a c. 6 1/4" W x 8" H sheet; image area c. 4" W x 6" H.
