A very scarce late 18th century illustrated treatise on Midwifery.  It includes seven folio engraved plates depicting various stages of fetus growth and development as well as the female anatomy. One plate depicts 18th century midwifery tools necessary for assistance in child-birth.  Some scattered foxing present as seen, but really, quite clean, otherwise.

This fascicule is disbound (but complete within itself) from a scarce late 18th century folio encyclopedia. A fascinating text, wonderfully illustrated, complete in itself.

Measures c. 9 1/2" x 15."  c. 35 pp.
