A finely detailed mid-19th century map from a scarce mid-19th century German atlas with original outline hand color.

A lovely mid-19th century engraved map Sicily with original hand color.  In addition to depicting Sicily and the southern tip of Italy, an inset at top left depicts "Malta - Gozzo u. Comino."

In VG+ antiquarian condition, original outline hand color, there is a tiny hole located at the center of the map (near Felicudi). 

Sheet measures c. 10 1/4" H x 12 ". Image measures c. 7" H x 9 5/8".
