A lovely clean example of this attractive Tallis map. With charming vignette views of Lake of Kandy, Colombo, and the Ruins of a Dogoba, all set within an ornate border. Original outline hand color as issued. Very appealing, one of the last truly decorative maps from the mid-19th century.
In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition, original fold line, as issued.
Sheet measures 14" x 10 1/2," image area measures 13" x 9."
