Wonderful engraved folio sheet early 17th century map, with large decorative vignette cartouche at lower left depicting 2 figures in turbans. A second cartouche at right with the imprint of Joh. & Cornelius Blaeu. Nicely framed by a previous collector owner whom we purchased it from. Map is guaranteed to be an authentic Blaeu map, no question about it
In VG+ to near fine clean condition, a very light small extraneous mark above the head of one of the figures, in no way detracting. Appears to be original/ early outline hand color.
Frame measures 29" x 24." Map area measures 20" x 16 1/4."
