A spectacular miniature celestial image from the early 18th century. Features a wonderful large hanging celestial map above an active village scene. Indeed, in the foreground we see 2 men engaged in a sword fight.
The celestial image is quite appealing, with the earth at the center, the Sun appearing to orbit around it! A nice clean example with outstanding lovely full hand color.
Sheet measures 6 3/4" W x 8 1/8" H, image measures 3 13/16" W x 5 5/8"H. Very nice indeed!
