A lovely, clean example of this very scarce mid19th-century map focusing on the colonial dioceses in this Southern Indian region. Table near the title indicates the population, number of Clergy and churches in the region.
In VG+ to near fine condition, with original outline hand color.
Sheet measures 12 1/4" H x 9 1/4" W; image measures 10 1/2" H x 8 1/4" W.
Note the charming oval vignette below the title. A very scarce map indeed.
