A wonderful early 18th century panoramic birds-eye of Ardabil (or Ardebil), located in eastern Azerbaijan province, NW Iran. An historically important location, formerly a favorite residence of the Persian court. Also home and shrine of the Persian Saint Safi-al-din. Dozens if not hundreds of
individual buildings rendered in profile, including a recognizable street
pattern. Very charming image relating to Iran and Persia in general. Sheet
measures 6 3/8" W x 7 7/8" H, image measures 4" W x 5 13/16"
