A map of Switzerland, Germany, and France, issued 1676, published in Amsterdam by Waesberge for a rare oversize edition of Mercator's minor atlas. A delightful and quite desirable 17th century map of the borders of France, Germany, and Switzerland. This map shows from Basel and Thun, west to Zurich and Schaffhausen. The map contains endless details of the mountains, rivers (with river basins), and lakes, as well as countless cities.

In VG+ to near excellent, mostly clean and fresh antiquarian condition (reverse is blank, no text unlike many other Mercator minor maps). With outstanding full (recent) hand color. Sheet measures c. 11 1/4" W x 8 7/8" H. Image measures 10" W x 7 3/8" H.

A wonderful, indeed superior example of this very nice 17th century map of Switzerland just north of the Alps.
