A lovely mid-18th century portrait of President Franklin Pierce, the only President from New Hampshire. He served as Brigadier General in the War with Mexico, and returned to defeat his Military superior Winfield Scott in the Presidential election of 1852.
In VG+ antiquarian condition. with expert and lovely full hand color.
