"L'Empire du Cherif de Fez Maroc Sus &c," issued in 1683, Paris, by Mallet. A charming, beautifully hand colored 17th century engraved map of the Northwestern part of Africa. Shows part of Spain, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Barbary coast, Fez, Morroco, and the Sahara desert. Important cities are indicated with small cathedral symbols highlighted in red. Features a lovely large strapwork cartouche.
In VG+ antiquarian condition. With lovely hand color. Sheet measures c. 5 1/2"W x 8 1/4"H, image area measures c. 4"W x 6"H.
