Note: To view one of 2 available close-ups, click on the area you wish to see. "Weaving: Duff's Draw Boy" and "Weaving: Mr. Austin's Engine Loom," issued 1814-1819, London, engraved by W. Lowry. A fascinating pair of nineteenth-century steel engravings pertaining to weaving. The first sheet contains four figures, each a different machine used for weaving or part of that machine. The second sheet contains one figure of a loom, with a small drawing of a shuttle at the bottom. A very interesting pair of engravings, very desirable to anyone who has an affinity for textiles and weaving. In VG to VG+ antiquarian condition, with some light foxing/fading to margins (not in the least detracting). Sheets measure c. 8 7/8" H x 10 3/4" W, image areas measure c. 8" W x 9 3/4" H. Please note: the sheets are nicely uniform in color, although the digital photos may suggest otherwise. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
