India and Southeast Asia - 1683
Note: to view one of 3 available close-ups, click on the area you wish to see. A fascinating and scarce 17th-century map abundant with cartographical errors. The northwestern portion of the Indian subcontinent has been misconstrued as a giant island. Title is enclosed within a strapwork cartouche. In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition. With lovely full hand color. Original fold lines, as issued. Sheet measures c. 11 1/2 " W x 8 1/2" H. Image area measures c. 10" W x 7" H. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
