A lovely and quite scarce mid 19th-century engraved portrait of Thomas Jefferson.
Engraved portraits of American Revolutionary statesmen printed in Barcelona, Spain of this vintage of very uncommon. This is one of the primary merits of this scarce small bust portrait, printed some 20 years prior to the American Civil War.
In VG+ antiquarian condition, with beautiful full hand color which greatly enhances its visual appeal.
Sheet measures c. 5" W x 8" H; image area measures c. 3 1/4" W x 5" H .
