An uncommon and appealing early 18th-century map showing much of Alsace and Lorraine. Very detailed, with small trees symbolizing forests and cathedrals for important cities, such as Nancy and Bourges. In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition. With beautiful full hand color. Sheet measures c. 16 1/4 " W x 10 1/2 " H, image area measures c. 10 " W x 7 1/8 " H. A lovely and uncommon map from the first part of the 18th century.
