Group of six fine bright chromo-lithographed late 19th century cards.  Each card depicts various peoples and places within the continent depicted, as well as one famous building on the continent, such as the Capitol Building in Washington, the town hall in Sydney, the Koong-Fu Pagoda in Shanghai or the Eiffel Tower in Paris.  A key on the recto identifies each person or object on the front.

Simply wonderful! A superb example of cartography being utilized for advertising purposes combined with the expert, utilization of the highest levels of chromolithography then available on the continent.

Uncommon found together, so clean and attractive.

  In VG+ to near fine condition.  Cards measure c. 4 3/8" W x 2 3/4" H.
