An uncommon engraved mid-18th century folded map following the course of the Rhine river in Europe, with a charming mid-18th century feel to the engraving technique and beautiful hand color. With a simple title cartouche. An issue of a map many collectors would likely not possess. Shows parts of Luxembourg, France, and Germany. Topographically descriptive with indications of mountains and other rivers as well. In VG++ to near excellent antiquarian condition, original fold lines as issued. On a c. 6 1/8 " W x 8 " H sheet, image area c. 6 7/8 " W x 5 1/4 " H. Quite a charming 18th century engraved map of the course of the Rhine river with beautiful hand color.
