This magnificent mid-18th century map boasts an elaborate title cartouche and a stunning degree of detail. It names hundreds of towns and cities and shows countless rivers. Illustration at bottom center shows a scene at the English court.
In VG+ antiquarian condition, centerfold archivally lined on reverse to strengthen. Expertly cleaned and beautifully re-colored by hand. Will look wonderful once framed.
On a c. 24 1/2" W x 20 1/2" H sheet; image area c. 22 1/2" W x 19" H.
