Barnstable, Massachusetts - 1922
This lithographed map comes from a scarce, preliminary edition of an atlas of Massachusetts made by the United States Geological Survey and the Commissioners of the Commonwealth. Shows Barnstable, Sandwich, and Yarmouth counties, with many roads, ponds, and even some individual buildings. The Cape Cod branch of the Old Colony Railroad is also depicted. Nice topographical detail. In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition, only slight or minor wear to the edges, the body of the map being mostly clean and fresh. From a very scarce oversize unfolded format edition of this rarely encountered atlas. On a 17" x 21" sheet. Map measures 13 1/8" x 17 1/2".
