"Sphere De Copernic," and "Globe Terestre Monte selon Copernican," a delightful engraved image which depicts two examples of the Copernican theory of the Universe in the form of globes, issued in Paris by Bion in 1728. The image of the Earth shows the continents of Europe and Asia while the armillary sphere depicts the rotations of the planets. In VG+ to near excellent condition with attractive full hand color on a c. 8 1/4 " W x 8 " H sheet. Image measures 7 " W x 5 1/2 " H.
