An nicely detailed and uncommon mid-19th century engraved map of this India and Southeast Asian region. From Meyer's Universal Atlas, the map has a profusion of place names and dozens and dozens of small towns and villages. Includes The Burma Empire, encompassing Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. In VG+ condition. The sheet measures12 1/2"W x 10 1/2"H, image measures 10 1/4"W x 8"H. Nice engraved map. At the bottom is a list/ key of Colonial powers (English, French, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, etc.) in the region at this time which correspond to the colors used on the map.
