" Habitans de Ceylan et de Maldives", issued Lyon (France), 1705 by de la Croix for a very rare geographical grammar. A wonderful early 18th century engraved image of various natives of Ceylon and the Maldive islands.
Beautifully hand colored, in clean excellent condition on a c. 6 1/8" H x 3 1/2" W, image area c. 4 3/4 " H x 3 1/8 " W. Very scarce image relating to Ceylon and the Maldives and not likely to be encountered very easily again.
