"Carte de L'Isle de la Jamaique", published c.1780 in Paris by the important French engineer and cartographer Rigobert Bonne (1727-1795) who succeeded J.N.Bellin as Hydrographer at the Depot de la Marine (1773). An attractive 18th century map of this Caribbean islands with beautiful full hand coloring. Includes quite a bit of topographical detail and a general lack of many settlements or towns. From a scarce variant edition of the important and much sought after monumental Demarest "Atlas Encyclopedic".
