"die Moldau und Siebenburgen- Moldavie Transylvanie" issued Paris, 1719 by A.M.Mallet. This uncommon and charming early 18th century map of Moldavia and Transylvania around Hungary in Central Europe is by A.M. Mallet, the well traveled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century Paris under King Louis XIV. A charming map with a banner title cartouche, the Danube river running across the bottom dividing Turkey in Europe from the area above. From his monumental "Description de L'Univers".
Surely not common and desirable thus.
In near excellent antiquarian condition with attractive full hand color on a c. 6 5/8 " W x 8 1/8 " H sheet (image size is c. 4 3/8 " W x 5 7/8 " H)
