"I D'Andro et de Tine" issued c.1719, Frankfurt, by A.M. Mallet. A charming early 18th century view of these Greek islands, with numerous tall ships.
Mallet was a well traveled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century France under King Louis XIV. This map is from his scarce monumental work "Description de L'Univers."
Very appealing visually, in near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 6 3/4" W x 8 1/8" H sheet, image area c. 4 1/8" W x 5 7/8" H. Attractively hand colored.
