"Ancienne Espagne" issued c.1719, Frankfurt, by A.M. Mallet. Beautiful full hand color. An uncommon oversize 2 sheet Mallet issued joined together like this in 1719.
Mallet was a well traveled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century France under King Louis XIV. This view is from his scarce monumental work "Description de L'Univers."
Very appealing visually, in VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 11 3/4" W x 8 1/4" H sheet, image area c. 9" W x 6" H.
