Globe 1683 by Mallet
A.M. Mallet was an important French geographer and military engineer who worked in 17th century France under King Louis XIV. A fine 17th century depiction of a floor globe with a turned wooden leg base, the globe displaying an enormous southern continent. Atop this is a wonderful miniature tabletop armillary sphere.
