Michigan 1894 by Walker
A wonderful late 19th century folio sheet lithographed map of this Western state, with full original hand color. Depicts the state in a brief transitional late 19th century period. Exceedingly detailed, a bit unusual at this relatively late date for hand coloring. Would look magnificent properly framed for display in a public space or office. Very uncommon, to the point of scarce, in part due to it's transitional nature, it's oversize format, as well as the very scarce atlas from which it comes. List of 50 specific Rail roads with their co-ordinates on the map can be seen at bottom left of the state. Note: to see available close-ups of this picture, click on the area you wish to see. There is generally a close-up, usually including the cartouche or other points of interest. In excellent, clean antiquarian condition. On a c. 17 1/2 ” W x 25 1/2 ” H sheet (engraved image size is 16 1/2 " x 22 1/2 "). Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
