A beautiful elephant folio size map of the North and Baltic seas, published in John Thomson's much sought-after monumental "New General Atlas" (1817, Edinburgh).
This map is characterized by gorgeous original hand-color and a tremendous amount of geographical detail. Printed on a single sheet, this map will look wonderful framed. Fine condition on a 28.5” W x 21” H sheet. Scattered minor foxing across the map which doesn't detract.
