A lovely and unusual early 20th century period green 1/4 leather binding. Gilt title on brown leather spine with raised bands. Half green leather and marbled paper covered boards are ruled in gilt. Binding is tight and sound with minimal wear. t.e.g.
Mostly clean internally with very scattered foxing. Engraved frontis and 23 illustrations by Bernard Naudin. Title page printed in black and red. Marbled endpapers. Text in French.
In VG+ to near fine, clean condition. A fine leather binding unlike any we've seen.
Book measures 5 1/2" x 8". 381 pp.
