A lovely maroon half leather binding. Spine with gilt title and raised bands. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards with some
edge wear. Binding, overall, tight, sound and clean; leather smooth and supple. t.e.g; fore-edge deckled.
Mostly clean internally with light scattered foxing. Title page printed in black and red. Text in French. Marbled endpapers.
In VG+ to near fine, clean condition. A lovely fine binding - much nicer than our images suggest.
Book measures c. 4" x 6 3/8". 260 pp.
