A charming, ornately gilt mid-19th century period red cloth binding. Pictorial gilt boards and spine; top board w/ central gilt fountain and "Priscilla Thwing". Spine cloth gently rubbed, chipped at ends. Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.
Mostly clean internally w/ four hand colored botanical plates, four fine steel engravings and several woodcut engravings. Hand colored plates depict the Golden Pear, a bouquet, Lilac & Rose and Nonpariel Apple. Two volumes bound in one w/ two full title pages.
In VG+ condition. A lovely example w/ hand colored botanical prints.
Book measures c. 6" x 8 3/4". 188 / 172 pp.
