A charming mid-19th century period red pebble cloth binding. Smooth, ornately gilt spine w/ gilt. Boards ruled in blind w/ central gilt harp on top board. Binding tight and sound.

Mostly clean internally w/ steel engraved frontis. Frontispiece, w/ tissue guard, depicts a woman standing in a boat w/ a man on land offering his hand to her. Signature on
f.f.e, "Fannie L. Bailey / March 4th, 1868".
In VG+ condition. A appealing little edition of Scott's classic epic poem.
Book measures c. 3 1/2" x 5". 203 pp.
