A two volume set of period 1/4 leather bindings. Smooth spines in five gilt-ruled compartments w/ gilt title and volume number; spine leather gently rubbed / scuffed. Quarter leather and marbled paper covered board are mostly clean w/ light wear. Bindings tight and sound. Internally clean w/ ex-library stamps on title pages. Text block evenly toned. Text in French.
In VG condition. An interesting history of the English, in the language of the French, bound in leather.
Books measure 6 1/2" x 9 1/2".
