An ornate 19th century publisher's period green cloth binding. Smooth spine w/ gilt title and gilt designs, cloth nicked at ends, rubbed. Boards are similarly tooled in blind w/ leaf devices, cloth split at board corners (but only just slightly). Binding tight and sound.
Mostly clean internally w/ foxing confined to the first and last few pages. Frontis depicts "You Scoundrel, " " said he, seizing Undy by the Collar.". Illustrated title page. Brown endpapers.
In Very Good to VG+ condition, overall. Appears to be an uncommon edition of an otherwise difficult book to locate. Book measures c. 5 1/2" x 7 3/4". 555 pp.
