A fine late 19th / early 20th century period red full leather binding. Ornately gilt spine in six compartments w/ gilt title and raised bands; leather very slightly nicked at spine extremities but this is quite minor and the book retains a very appealing shelf appearance. Boards ruled in gilt. Joint leather rubbed, mostly at joint ends. Lovely patterned gilt inner dentelles.  Binding tight and sound. a.e.g.

Mostly very clean internally. Engraved frontis, w/ tissue guard, depicts Queen Victoria . Engraved half title page shows "Poet's Corner, Westminster Abbey". Red marbled endpapers.

In VG+ to near fine, clean condition. A highly appealing fine red leather binding w/ beautiful shelf appearance. Book measures c. 5 7/8" x 8 3/8". 744 pp.
