An embossed and gilt mid-19th century publisher's period cloth binding.  Ornately gilt smooth spine is gently sunned. Embossed  boards corners bumped.  Text block exhibits scattered foxing. Steel engraved frontispiece, w/ tissue guard, by Bartlett.

In VG+ condition. Appears to be an uncommon edition w/ a charming steel engraving by Bartlett.

Book measures c. 4" x 6 1/4". 283 + 16 pp publisher ads.
