A gorgeous, ornately embossed mid-19th century period dark brown full leather binding. Spine in six compartments w/ decorative blindtooled devices in each, gilt title, raised bands are rubbed. Decorative embossed boards exhibit gentle rubbing to extremities. a.e.g., gilt inner dentelles. Binding tight and sound. In all, a gorgeous fine binding.
Mostly very clean internally w/ many illustrated plates (w/ tissue guards). Each page is ruled in red. Inscription on second f.e. "Louise Kinsley / April / 76". Marbled endpapers.
In VG+ condition. An appealing 19th century embossed publishers leather binding.
Measures 5 1/4" x 6 3/4." unpaginated.
