An early 19th century period half leather binding. Smooth spine in six gilt-ruled compartments, gilt title on contrasting green leather label; leather chipped at spine extremities. Half leather and marbled paper covered boards exhibit light wear, board corners bumped. Joints rubbed, chipped at head. Binding tight and sound.
Mostly clean ex-libris w/ very scattered foxing present. Bookplate and marks on title page are only indication.
Overall, in VG to VG+ condition w/ very clean contents. A nice example of this 19th century book pertaining to Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Book measures c. 5 3/8" x 9." 400 pp.
