Nice period 1/2 red leather binding. Spine in six compartments w/ gilt title, raised bands; leather is smooth and supple w/ virtually no flaws. Light shelf wear. Binding tight and sound.
Text block mostly clean w/ only a page or two w/ isolated light soiling. Previous owner's inscription on second free endpaper, " 'Truth is stranger than fiction." Sarah B. Stepheus from A.B.G. & C.H.G / February 2nd, 1907." New marbled endpapers.
Uncommon in old leather.
