An attractive early 20th century period binding w/ red leather spine. Gilt title, author on spine with raised bands, leather is smooth and supple with virtually no flaws to mention. Marbled paper covered boards w/ some very trivial minor edgewear. Binding tight and sound. t.e.g.
Text block mostly clean, a uniform light age-toning throughout. Previous owner's signature on second free endpaper, "Eugene C. Taylor." Text in French. Marbled endpapers.
In all, a lovely half red leather binding of Rousseau's classic work, in French.
Book measures c. 5" x 7 3/8." 514 pp.
