Bound in publisher's brown cloth. Gilt title on smooth spine, slight chipping at head and tail of spine. Boards similarly stamped in blind with Victorian flourishes, corners gently bumped. Binding is tight, sound and very clean.
Internally clean, with little foxing and very light staining to the uppermost margin of the last few pages. Advertisements at front printed on blue paper. Small crack on rear hinge.
Overall, a nicer than typical example of this early Portsmouth guide/ directory. Quite fresh and clean, a rare example in this condition.
Book measures c. 3 5/8" x 6 1/4." 176 pp.
