Massive elephant folio atlas size volume, measures 25 " H x 19 1/2 " W.
In a professional early cloth binding, red leather title label of front board with gilt letters. Red leather spine label is dried and rubbed. Extensive reporting on the Boer War. Also, Minstrel Shows, Whiskey ads, countless news stories, etc.
Binding and contents in VG condition, joints cracked, cloth frayed, head of spine cloth loose. Internally tight and sound, very clean. Please be aware, as typical for newspapers of this vintage, the paper is extremely brittle. Almost certainly rare thus. Due to huge size and weight, will run $10 to ship within the US.
