Limited Numbered Edition in nice leather
A handsome gilt contemporary three-quarter leather binding. Spine in six compartments w/ gilt squares in each, gilt title, gilt adorned raised bands; small nick in leather in the title compartment but this is not at all visually distracting. Great shelf appearance. Three-quarter leather boards with marbled paper - the paper is shimmery in green and gold; boards are fresh, bright and clean with virtually no flaws. Binding is tight and sound. t.e.g.
Text block is mostly clean, light very scattered foxing confined to the first and last few pages. Two full title pages, the first title page is printed on a yellow manila type paper identical to the paper used for the first and last few blank pages. Lovely marbled endpapers in green.
In all, a handsome example of a contemporary fine binding, the hand made "shimmery" paper used to cover the boards is very unique and attractive. This is numbered 380 of a limited edition.
Book measures c. 5 7/8" x 7 3/4". 416 pp.
