A splendid, near fine period full leather binding. Spine in six patterned gilt-ruled compartments with raised bands, gilt title and author. Gilt ruled boards are fresh and clean w/ minimal corner wear. Lovely patterned gilt inner dentelles. Binding tight and sound. Deckled edges
Mostly very clean internally with engravings. Frontis depicts "The Great Fire in London. Photo-etching after the painting by De Loutherbourg"; frontispiece is actually present twice on consecutive pages. Six more plates present throughout. Bookplate "Ronald Bridges".
In Near Fine condition, unopened, very clean, sound, tight binding.
