North American Arithmetic - 1848
A mid 19th century period binding with red leather spine. Smooth spine in gilt-ruled compartments; leather gently rubbed and exhibits a small area where the leather has chipped away. Blue paper covered boards are printed with the title on the front board and reviews of the book from various university professors on the rear board; paper worn from boards at extremities and soiled, all of which one would expect from a well used textbook. Binding cracked down center, otherwise sound. Pages slightly age-toned and exhibit minor scattered foxing. Inside of boards display the most wear where several previous owners have written their names and the paper cover is torn (appear to be where bookplates were removed). Hinges cracked. Typical use for a mid-19th century school math book. Book measures c. 4 1/2" W x 7" H. 216 pp. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
