Limited. 250 pp. plus publisher advertisements. An appealing gilt late 19th century publisher's period green cloth binding, ex-libris. Gilt title, author and publisher on smooth, gilt-ruled spine; small old paper library sticker as seen. Top board shows gilt title, author and central gilt Indian with a rifle. Cloth exhibits slight bit of bubbling and rubbing, nothing severe. Binding tight and sound. Deckled edges. Mostly clean internally and illustrated with six maps (of seven- lacks map at rear) and plans and twenty-one b&w photographs. Folding maps show routes hand colored in red. "General Map to Illustrate the Operations" is missing. Photograph frontis depicts "General Sir William Lockhart, G.C.B., K.C.S.I". Ex-libris bookplates, pockets in rear and library stamp on title page. In all, a nice example of this profusely illustrated late 19th century green cloth binding.
